The 1971 Le Figurine Di Linus Set
In late 2024 I first learned about this stunning Italian issue, far and away the most iconic Peanuts set ever produced. My goal today? To build the highest graded set on the PSA set registry, and what a challenge it is, with 320 base cards, 15 puzzle cards, 9 “secret” mini cards (of which 8 of the 9 are incredibly tough), and 8 dual sticker cards (with additional combinations possible). At the time of this writing, I now have 98 different cards from the set, all graded PSA 5 or higher, including numerous POP 1s. Yes, they are that tough to locate in high grade and I’m always on the hunt for more at the right price. This set features many true “first appearance” cards of Charlie Brown and Snoopy (including card #’s 1 & 5, the most important base cards in the set), as well as other key cards in the “Retrospective” subset, which showcases the 1950s-era design of the earliest characters including Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, Violet, the original Patty and one of my wife’s favorites, Shermy. This set is loaded with brilliant hues of pink and purple, perfectly typifying the early 1970s. If you are even a mild fan of Peanuts and their characters, I highly recommend picking up a few of these. We do have many available on our ebay store as well as some graded examples on the website.
I hope you will treasure them as much as I do, from one Peanuts fan to another.
