1929-30 JUNCOSA CHOCOLATE CARTOONS MICKEY ISSUE
Mickey Mouse’s first appearance on a card could be seen in Spain in 1929. The 15-card set of black and white cards was issued by the Juncosa brand of Chocolates. There were three more similar looking 15-card sets issued at that time, all of which were based on short cartoon films of the day. Other familiar characters featured in those early sets were Oswald the rabbit, Felix the cat, and Betty Boop.
